Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter
I am in love with these so many colors to choose from but I decided on two colors that will work for me during this winter season. Word is that they are permanent so I am definitely gonna get more colors in the future. I found mine at Bed Bath & Beyond in a display for $5.79 each. The only lip butters that I have been impressed with so far are the Korres ones. The Revlon lip butters are in a tube form and slightly more firm in texture, but still very moisturizing. Faint scent, gorgeous packaging, very moisturizing, and no shimmer a win for me totally worth checking out. Here are a few pictures...

Current Nail Polish Look
I was intrigued in Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia because its an exact dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance. When I purchased Smoky Canvas by Revlon at CVS Facets of Fuchsia was sold out. Well I finally got my hands on it at Target and I love the color a gel based black with small and large purple glitter perfect for fall/winter season.
3 coats of Revlon- Facets of Fuchsia
accent nail 1 coat each in order:
Wet n Wild- Grey's Anatomy
Sally Hansen- Rockstar Pink
Milani- Gems

Skincare Routine
My eye makeup remover

Cleanser with my Pretika Facial Brush
My eye creme which works well keeps the delicate skin around my eyes moisturized.
CeraVe is my usual day moisturizer but I also use Neutrogena Ultra sheer liquid from my September favorites. I always use a UVA/UVB moisturizer.
Night time I use Clinique turnaround serum it gently exfoliates and increases new cell renewal.

Then I alternate nights with Neutrogena deep wrinkle moisturizer that has retinol but in small dose so that my skin doesn't peel. Retinol aids with building collagen and elasticity in the skin. And Alpha Hydrox which has 10% Glycolic AHA and is a chemical exfoliate which dissolves dead skin cells that are remaining on the skin. I'm turning 30 next year and the first signs of aging is right around the corner so I've started a skin care routine that is not too harsh for my skin. Their are three things to always do exfoliate, moisturize, and sunblock. I have dry to combination skin and during winter months I will use Bio-Oil for extra moisture and Aveeno Hydrocortisone creme if I have an eczema rash appear.

September Favorites!
Colgate Optic White - I got my teeth bleached at a local mall last month and got dramatic results and wanting to keep the results lasting I decided to look for a new toothpaste. Optic White promised to give noticeably whiter teeth within a week of use because the main ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. With using this toothpaste some discoloring that was still left has faded so I'm impressed and will continue to use.
Sonia Kashuk Brightening Powder - I love this stuff! I have been using Benefit Powderflage for the past year and went through 2 containers already and costs $28 which is very expensive. Sonia's Brightening Powder is about the same amount of product and similar ingredients but only cost $10 and I feel the results are the same!
Wet n Wild Color Icon in Silent Treatment - This trio is so worth the money, very beautiful cool tone palette that is easy to wear. The color I love most is the eyelid color its a satin finish taupe which is what I've been wearing on a daily basis. Worth $3.
Korres Lip Butter in Guava - I've had this product for about a year now and have used it off and on but this month I've used this every night and love the way my lips feel in the morning. I'm about out but will defiantly repurchase.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid - Lots of sunblocks leave my skin feeling oily and my foundation will not last because of that. I know the importance of using sunblock and this product sinks into my skin and provides a nice base for my foundation routine. I will no longer go without sunblock which I have in the past.
Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer - Haven't been using this for long but love the fact that its double ended and fills in my brows wonderfully as well as stays all day!
MAC Mineralized Blush in Dainty - Been wearing lots of coral colors during the summer and just got tired of the coral look by September. Dainty is just an easy, effortless, and long lasting color that goes well with my complexion and with any outfit or makeup look I've been putting together.
Essie Grow Faster - I got this a few month ago and I have started to notice my nails growing faster which is exactly what it states and I defiantly appreciate it because my nails teen to be prone to tearing and always have difficult time growing longer.

Makeup Storage
I had been looking for a way to store my makeup in my room without having all the clutter showing. Not enough space in my room to add a vanity. I used to store all on my dresser and it would always be messy and make my room look unkempt. My Armoire was not being used much so I decided why not and use it for a vanity. I purchased a small stool from Target in a cherry wood finish for $15 and an under cabinet light from Walmart for $9 because I needed extra lighting, leaned a small mirror on the back and placed mirrored beveled decorative tiles also from Walmart on bottom so that I would minimize damage to the wood and give extra lighting with reflection. I also added a $5 clock on top in order for me to keep track of time in morning. This setup has been working fine for me and the best part is that even when its messy I just close the doors and nobody knows!
Magnetic Nail Polish
If you've tired of crackle polish and are looking for the next big special effect, search no longer, because magnetic nail polish is coming to a website near you. If you haven't seen magnetic polish yet, it's basically regular polish with tiny magnetized particles in it. When you put it anywhere near a magnet, the charged bits align themselves with the magnet's poles, creating cool patterns in the polish. It's a cool concept, and you can expect to see the collection popping up everywhere soon. What's more, some of the big nail polish companies are working on versions to be out for next year. I personally think this looks best on short nails.

A few recent purchases!
I haven't posted in a while thought I would share some recent purchases. I'm a nail polish fanatic wanted to get my hands on the new Chanel Graphite, I love Chanel nail polishes quality so I was willing to spend the money if it was a color I could wear for multiple seasons. When I went to the Chanel counter another lady looking through the makeup noticed me checking out Graphite she told me that Revlon makes a color that's a dupe so I decided to get the Revlon instead. Its called Carbonite and is very similar to Graphite just not as much duo-chrome. Another purchase was my first Zoya polish in Jules I love this color and the quality of the polish is surprising since it was only $7 @ Ulta. Back to Chanel I got two things the creme shadow in Illusoire which is so easy to apply and wear it sheer or thick beautiful both ways, and Coco Rouge Shine lipstick in Boy that I'm in love with so creamy and day wear appropriate. Last I stopped by Forever 21 looking through jewelry I usually don't like their stuff too cheap but I came across a rhinestone gold tone stretch bracelet and the quality was amazing and only $6.80 so I snatched it up because at my store its there one day and gone the next. This will be a great piece to wear on special occasions or layer with other simpler pieces.

L'Oreal Coulour Riche Le Gloss
I'm in love with this new gloss, I on day to day wear mainly nude lipsticks and glosses so when I saw this peachy/ pink nude gloss 151 Baby Blossom without shimmer I wanted to give it a try even thought I hated the previous gloss that I have tried from L'Oreal. The website states that it is infused with ultra-hydrating omega 3, protective vitamin E, and argan oil. This is by far my favorite drugstore lip gloss very creamy, not sticky at all, descent wear time and light vanilla scent will buy again and will look into other shades as well. The top swatch is Baby Blossom and below is M.A.C Florabundance.

Luminizers
Now that summer is here I have been wanting that extra glow. From recommendation from a co-worker i purchased the Lorac Perfectly Lit Oil Free Luminizing Powder in Spotlight. This is by far my favorite it give the most natural glow and is very long lasting. Now I love my M.A.C. Creme Color Base in Shell but it does not last long so I personally like the Lorac highlighter. I also got the M.A.C. Luster Drops in Pink Rebel which I add one drop to my Make Up For Ever HD foundation for a natural glow. The Luster Drops can also be used as a highlighter just like the Creme Color Bases but they don't transfer because they dry quick on your skin. In the swatch top is Lorac, middle is Creme Color Base, and bottom is Luster Drops.

Hi
I'm new at this love makeup and decorating. Work for a nonprofit agency during the day and have an unhealthy obsession with makeup and shopping on my time off. My first post will be on my favorite fragrance which is Burberry Classic which I've been wearing for over 10 years and my go to daily scent.
