September Favorites!

Colgate Optic White - I got my teeth bleached at a local mall last month and got dramatic results and          wanting to keep the results lasting I decided to look for a new toothpaste.  Optic White promised to give noticeably whiter teeth within a week of use because the main ingredient is hydrogen peroxide.  With using this toothpaste some discoloring that was still left has faded so I'm impressed and will continue to use.

Sonia Kashuk Brightening Powder - I love this stuff!  I have been using Benefit Powderflage for the past year and went through 2 containers already and costs $28 which is very expensive.  Sonia's Brightening Powder is about the same amount of product and similar ingredients but only cost $10 and I feel the results are the same!

Wet n Wild Color Icon in Silent Treatment -  This trio is so worth the money, very beautiful cool tone palette that is easy to wear.  The color I love most is the eyelid color its a satin finish taupe which is what I've been wearing on a daily basis.  Worth $3.

Korres Lip Butter in Guava -  I've had this product for about a year now and have used it off and on but this month I've used this every night and love the way my lips feel in the morning.  I'm about out but will defiantly repurchase.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid - Lots of sunblocks leave my skin feeling oily and my foundation will not last because of that.  I know the importance of using sunblock and this product sinks into my skin and provides a nice base for my foundation routine.  I will no longer go without sunblock which I have in the past.

Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer - Haven't been using this for long but love the fact that its double ended and fills in my brows wonderfully as well as stays all day!

MAC Mineralized Blush in Dainty - Been wearing lots of coral colors during the summer and just got tired of the coral look by September.  Dainty is just an easy, effortless, and long lasting color that goes well with my complexion and with any outfit or makeup look I've been putting together.

Essie Grow Faster - I got this a few month ago and I have started to notice my nails growing faster which is exactly what it states and I defiantly appreciate it because my nails teen to be prone to tearing and always have difficult time growing longer.

Makeup Storage

I had been looking for a way to store my makeup in my room without having all the clutter showing. Not enough space in my room to add a vanity.  I used to store all on my dresser and it would always be messy and make my room look unkempt. My Armoire was not being used much so I decided why not and use it for a vanity.  I purchased a small stool from Target in a cherry wood finish for $15 and an under cabinet light from Walmart for $9 because I needed extra lighting, leaned a small mirror on the back and placed mirrored beveled decorative tiles also from Walmart on bottom so that I would minimize damage to the wood and give extra lighting with reflection.  I also added a $5 clock on top in order for me to keep track of time in morning.  This setup has been working fine for me and the best part is that even when its messy I just close the doors and nobody knows!

Magnetic Nail Polish

If you've tired of crackle polish and are looking for the next big special effect, search no longer, because magnetic nail polish is coming to a website near you. If you haven't seen magnetic polish yet, it's basically regular polish with tiny magnetized particles in it. When you put it anywhere near a magnet, the charged bits align themselves with the magnet's poles, creating cool patterns in the polish. It's a cool concept, and you can expect to see the collection popping up everywhere soon. What's more, some of the big nail polish companies are working on versions to be out for next year.  I personally think this looks best on short nails.

A few recent purchases!

I haven't posted in a while thought I would share some recent purchases.  I'm a nail polish fanatic wanted to get my hands on the new Chanel Graphite, I love Chanel nail polishes quality so I was willing to spend the money if it was a color I could wear for multiple seasons.  When I went to the Chanel counter another lady looking through the makeup noticed me checking out Graphite she told me that Revlon makes a color that's a dupe so I decided to get the Revlon instead.  Its called Carbonite and is very similar to Graphite just not as much duo-chrome.  Another purchase was my first Zoya polish in Jules I love this color and the quality of the polish is surprising since it was only $7 @ Ulta.  Back to Chanel I got two things the creme shadow in Illusoire which is so easy to apply and wear it sheer or thick beautiful both ways, and Coco Rouge Shine lipstick in Boy that I'm in love with so creamy and day wear appropriate.  Last I stopped by Forever 21 looking through jewelry I usually don't like their stuff too cheap but I came across a rhinestone gold tone stretch bracelet and the quality was amazing and only $6.80 so I snatched it up because at my store its there one day and gone the next.  This will be a great piece to wear on special occasions or layer with other simpler pieces.
